So, you decided to take the big leap and start shopping for engagement rings. Congratulations! Investing in a beautiful piece that someone else will wear for the rest of their life can be an emotional experience - and we're here to help.

Knowing what to look for when buying an engagement ring can be intimidating. Especially if you don't know much about diamonds or the jewelry industry. We have created the True BLVD (Boulevard) Technique to help you on the "road" to shopping for, designing, or buying the perfect ring.

BLVD Technique

Budget: The thing about diamonds is that they come in a wide variety of sizes, shapes, colours and prices. Before you enter the realm of shopping, have an idea of how much you want to spend, as well as your maximum ceiling budget. There is no rule of thumb based on your salary, either. It's what you and your partner value as the right investment for this moment!

Lifestyle: Think about your day to day activities, both work, fun and down time. She is going to wear this ring every day, so we want to think about how we can make a ring that fits into her life, style and lifestyle. Quality is important here, too - don't forget to ask about the warranty of a ring!

Value:  What is important to you about this ring? Is bigger always better, when it comes to the diamond? Then we can talk about how to get the biggest rock possible. Are there other gemstones or symbols that have meaning in your relationship that we could include in the design? We can help bring that vision to life! Alternative gemstones are always an option as well. What does this ring mean to what you value?

Diamond: Diamonds or gemstones come in all shapes, sizes and qualities. Ethical diamonds are important - but do you want lab grown or naturally occurring diamonds? Even non-diamond options are options these days! Let's chat about options.
